EBOLA MONKEY NOTE:  OK, here's the deal.  I kind of got lazy with this one and I was at a creative stand still.  I thought, "I wonder how a scammer would respond if he came across another scammer by accident.

FROM RON JEREMY TO ADAKU (4/9)

Dear Mr. Adaku Ogeibri,

I think I received your email by mistake.  My name is Shakka Abuya and I too am a Nigerian Scam artist.  I live in Kano and want to make some extra money.  I go by the name Ron Jeremy (he is a famous actor).  I find the Americans respond better when I use that name.  I am always looking to improve my scamming skills and was wondering if you could give me any pointers (as you can see, I was really impressed by your style).  Whatever hints you can give me to make my percentage of successful scams increase would be greatly appreciated.  Here are some issues that I am pondering right now:

1.  What font do you use to write in?  I try to switch it up but find that I am strangely attracted to COURIER NEW.

2.  I currently use the plane crash method of death.  I feel it's time for a change.  Do you think I would have better luck if I told my victims that the subject of the email was either poisoned by the government or died in an explosion.

3.  Do you send real photos of yourself?  I mostly cut pictures out of magazines but then if they ask for a second photo I'm screwed.

4.  I have yet to convince someone to meet me.  What should I do with them after I pick them up from the airport?

5.   Do you ever feel bad about what we do?  Sometimes when I know I'm stealing from a nice person, I feel guilty. How do I overcome this?

6.   How do you prepare for a character?  I use the "lemon face, lemon face, lion face, lion face" method.

7.  Have you ever wanted to have sex with an Ebola Monkey after you have pulled off a really good scam?

Please answer these questions as soon as you can.  I'm working on an old white lady right now who I think will give me her life savings.  Us Nigerians got to stick together.  Give me good advice so I can rob these white devils blind.  If you have any questions about my methods, I would love to share them with you.  Ask away my friend.  I hope to talk to you soon.

Thanks

Shakka AKA Ron Jeremy

Hey thief,

So I guess the weddings off?

Shakka AKA Ron Jeremy

EBOLA MONKEY NOTE:  I never heard from Adauku again.  I still think about him from time to time.

PROFILER NOTES:

Here we have a below average scammer with a standard letter definitely constructed by someone else, (this is obvious from the drastic decline in the scammers English skills afterwards).we can also deduce that he is from the southern region of Nigeria from his last statement “boy, you are lucky with god” which is a rather poor translation of the Igbo saying that “the lord has just saved you”. Furthermore, he used all Igbo tribal names so that strengthens our suspicion that he is an Igbo man and definitely from one of these 5 Igbo states; Anambara, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi or Enugu states.

You however blew it when you replied coz you used words and language that are not usually used in same context in Nigeria and this lead the scammer on to you, thus leading to his thinking you were a little naughty white boy playing with his mother’s computer and not a fellow scammer like him.

Let me analyze this for you further, though I am impressed that you picked the name “Shakka Abuya” that is actually used by the Tiv tribes of Benue state in Nigeria, you should never have done the following;

Don’t use the word “scam or scammer” it is a foreign way of referring to it, simply use “419”. If you want to add a little professional lingo, call yourself a “sharp man or wayo guy”.
Asking him about fonts is way above anything he can understand.
A word like “screwed” is not common to those level of scammers , use “fucked or messed”
Your sentences were far too long, make them simple, short, with as few words as possible to convey your message. Always remember that these guys are usually (though not always) school dropouts.

Try these pointers next time and I believe you will likely achieve your aim.
